Homeless camp enforcements scheduled – Chico Enterprise-Record

CHICO — The city scheduled anti-camping enforcements to include at least 12 homeless people, with advanced noticing beginning April 19 at Lost Park, the bike path by Skyway and Highway 99 north; as well as an empty parcel by Humboldt Avenue between Pine and Olive streets.

The city determined that six homeless people live by Lost Park, three people live by Humboldt Avenue, and three people live by the Skyway bike path, according to a notice it sent Friday to Legal Services of Northern California and released to the public Friday evening.

The city counted four of the 12 as having previously received shelter determinations; it also counted of 12 “abandoned or unoccupied” campsites across the three areas.
