Holidays On The Hill And Movie Night In The Milky Way – Here’s What’s Popping Up

The Hill | Los Angeles, the new entertainment destination located at the top of the Hollywood Hills, will kick off “Holidays on The Hill,” starting Friday, Dec. 1, and will feature a variety of events from a themed pop-up bar at the FIVE on The Hill restaurant, photo packages for Santa’s Workshop located at the Hilton’s Club Patio, an inaugural holiday festival, and more. 

An airy spot in the Hilton tower offering Californian and  Pan-Asian eats, Cafe Sierra will feature holiday extended brunch and buffet services through December.  Holiday brunch items include unlimited champagne, beer, bloody marys, lobster thermidor and claws. The dinner service menu includes unlimited king crab and whole Maine lobsters:

  • Seafood Champagne Brunch: Saturdays & Sundays | 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Seafood Buffet: Saturdays & Sundays | 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Christmas Brunch: Dec. 24 & 25 | 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • Christmas Dinner: Dec. 24 & 25 | 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • New Year’s Eve Brunch: Dec. 31 | 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
  • New Year’s Eve Dinner: Dec. 31 | 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

From Thursday, Dec. 7,  to Sunday, Dec.17, there will be an outdoor market-style festival with faux snow, treats, activities and games. Additionally, all month long, guests can take photos with Santa in his workshop, and indulge in holiday-themed food and drinks at FIVE on The Hill’s Jingle Bell Tavern. The event will support the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through toy drives and a portion of ticket sales. It’s family movie night at The Milky Way on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 5 p.m., for dinner, popcorn and treats. The featured movie is Steven Spielberg’s Hook, starring Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman and Julia Roberts. The three-course dinner is $52 per person for adults and the two-course kids’ menu is $22 per person — both Include popcorn boxes and candy.

Cafe Kitsune has opened in Silver Lake next to the recently renovated Maison Kitsune boutique. In addition to espresso, cappuccino, americano, macchiato, mocaccino, cold brew and drips, an assortment of specialty coffee drinks unique to the location also are available. The Höjicha Cream Cold Brew combines the taste of Japanese green tea with Cafe Kitsune cold brew, while Kitsune Chocolate is made with the brand’s blend of chocolate, produced by premium French chocolatier, Valrhona. The Los Angeles Exclusive Matcha Creme Latte, a spin on the classic matcha latte, is made here using créme fraiche and served iced.

Rounding out the menu are teas, sweet and savory pastries, internationally influenced small plates, and a curated selection of natural wines and beer. There’s a Parisien baguette with ham, comte ́ and sweet butter, and a Japanese version with kimchi and Spam Musubi on a croissant. Additional selections include a variety of croissants and sweets, including the fox-shaped sable cookie, developed with LA native and French-trained chef Sharon Wang of Sugarbloom Bakery.

To officially celebrate the grand opening of its newest location in the heart of Hollywood, NORMS will host festivities featuring deals, freebies and live entertainment. Today there will be a live appearance from DJ Menace from The Woody Show on ALT 98.7 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The first 75 attendees in line will receive a free 3⁄4 T-bone steak dinner. On Thursday, Nov. 16, NORMS will host a VIP ribbon-cutting ceremony with local dignitaries, including the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

And this just in: Jack Box, the character CEO of fast-food chain Jack in the Box, is featured in PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive issue. Jack Box claims PEOPLE’s “Sexiest Jack” award and becomes the first restaurant mascot to join the ranks. Though snubbed for the cover, Jack is celebrating this milestone with a few fun offers:
