He was so close to another well-deserved century. Mitchell Santner was bowling the over. On the fourth delivery, Gill looked uncomfortable. Physio checked him. After a bit of stretching, Shubman wasn’t able to walk properly. After that, he walked away from the field. He came back in the last and remained not out on 80 runs till the end.
After this clinical win, India secured the ticket for the final showdown. The final match of the tournament is scheduled for November 19. India is still looking for their opponent in the final match. After the second semifinal between Australia and South Africa, another finalist will be decided. India is hosting the tournament. India won the 2011 World Cup being a host country.
