FKA Twigs Joined the Rambert Dance Company On Stage at Vogue World: London

Vogue World: London kicked off London Fashion Week with a bang. Shortly before the fashion-filled and star-studded show began, the red carpet delivered plenty of celebrity fashion moments (including Sienna Miller, who bared her baby bump in Schiaparelli!); Once guests made their way inside the Theater Royal Drury Lane, they were then treated to a theatrical performance, filled with supermodels, live dance numbers, and of course, epic fashion designs. A standout moment from the show was when singer FKA Twigs made a surprise cameo on-stage, joined by members of the revered Rambert Dance Company.

Providing one of the first live performances of the night, Twigs hit the stage wearing a sexy black cut-out bodysuit by the New York designer LaQuan Smith, while the Rambert dancers sported traditional black, form-fitting dance wear behind and around her. “I loved how graphic it was and how it framed my physique,” says Twigs of the look. While the star sang a rendition of “It’s a Fine Day” by Opus III, models such as Cara Delevingne and Jordan Barrett worked the crowd in edgy, punky designs. “[The performance was] a symbiosis of dance, art, and fashion—us all moving as one together in celebration of our craft and love for movement,” says Twigs.
