February 14 – Shreveport, Texarkana Weather Forecast: Loving This Weather

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – We will have fantastic weather on this Valentine’s Day Wednesday. Our next cold front is a few days away, but it will bring a chance of rain late Friday, and cooler temperatures for the weekend. Get ready for a taste of Spring next week!

We will have some patchy frost outside at sunrise with temperatures in the 30s, but most areas are a few degrees above freezing. High pressure will keep the sun overhead today with only a few scattered clouds and temperatures will be in that perfect range of 67 to 70 degrees. Wind will be light and out of the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Clouds will roll in late tonight and tomorrow, with overnight lows in the 40s. Despite the mostly cloudy skies Thursday, high temperatures will remain in the low 70s, and likely stay near 70 degrees Friday as well.

Our next cold front will arrive late Friday, squeezing out a few rain showers Friday afternoon into Friday night. Accumulations will be light, likely less than a quarter inch in most areas. Severe weather is not expected.

Colder air will arrive behind the front Saturday, with lingering clouds and a breezy north wind dropping highs into the 40s for a day. Sunshine returns Sunday to warm us to nearly 60 degrees and get ready for Spring. Highs will be in the 70s next week, with a few days midweek where we could reach the upper 70s or low 80s.
