New York Fashion Week is officially underway, and last night, Puma kicked off festivities at the Park Avenue Armory.
The runway, “Welcome To The Amazing Mostro Show,” celebrated the return of the Mostro sneaker, which first launched 25 years ago. An underworld carnival complete with a ferris wheel, roller coaster, and working swing (fitted with disembodied, Puma-wearing legs, naturally) was the focal point. In addition to the black- and silver-heavy collection, guests also caught a glimpse of visuals created by A$AP Rocky, Puma’s Creative Director of Motorsport. There to witness the spectacle was Emily Ratajkowski, Ashley Graham, Becky G, Hari Nef, and GloRilla, among others.
The VIP guests artfully mixed their sporty Puma gear with their personal styles. EmRata rocked a sexy, structured black Ferragamo set from spring 2024 with her tomato hued sneakers. Graham, meanwhile, wore a twisty, patterned maxi dress from Feben with her black and white shoes. Barbie star Nef leaned into an elevated blokecore, layering a bright yellow tee over a crisp white button-down with acid wash jeans, while GloRilla opted for an open olive green Puma vest to show off an impressive stack of diamond encrusted chains. Becky G forewent sneakers altogether, donning a multicolored crop top and unzipped, thong-exposing jeans, tucked into a pair of stiletto boots, which she accessorized with a bright yellow Puma purse.
A very stylish welcome back for the Mostro, indeed.
