Perhaps the most intelligent and least picky eater on the planet is the 2-year-old media sensation behind Cooking for Levi, who is melting hearts across the country. In his weekly Instagram and TikTok videos, chef dad Jack Zhang and mom Emily prepare dishes for little Levi and his 1.2 million followers that he gobbles up with relish and countless questions. These recipes have been compiled in Cultivating a Curious Palate, which explores the culinary journey shared by the family and includes a section on gourmet baby foods and tips for language development in toddlers. And upon perfectly plated gourmet presentations made by his dad, Levi never takes a bite before saying “thank you.”

Eat What You Watch is another fun book for movie lovers by Andrew Rea that features his unofficial take on dishes like the strudel from Inglourious Basterds, chicken with mole and saffron rice inspired by the exploding pressure cooker version in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the Hawaiian burger from Pulp Fiction. In his latest cookbook, Basics with Babish, Rea features over 150 easy-to-follow recipes inspired by the YouTube sensation’s culinary journey and teaches inspiring chefs how to embrace their mistakes and become a better cook. The Brooklyn-based, former visual effects artist turned chef’s YouTube channel is known for out-of-the-box recipes and has featured guests like Jon Favreau and Maisie Williams. There are also plans for an upstate New York bed and breakfast (Bed & Babish) opening this fall and the expansion of his cookware line

British photographer, documentary filmmaker, cookbook author and daughter to Paul and Linda, Mary McCartney’s book Feeding Creativity is a visual and culinary treat.  It’s a compilation of recipes, recollections and personal stories from friends and family like cooking mushroom, polenta, and cavolo nero for Stanley Tucci and the feel-good smoothie she mixed up for sister Stella to survive the catwalk in The Pompidou. The plant-based party continues with the vegan cream of tomato soup she brought to Cate Blanchett on the set, a comforting recipe from her late mother.

Known as  “Queen of the Coop,” fifth-generation chicken keeper Lisa Steele is the creator of the popular brand Fresh Eggs Daily and has been sharing time-tested advice on raising backyard flocks, as well as recipes using eggs fresh from her adorable fairy tale coop in Maine and ingredients fresh from her garden for more than a decade. After writing six books on raising backyard poultry flocks, Lisa’s debut cookbook, The Fresh Eggs Daily Cookbook, features recipes including herbed deviled eggs, cranberry pound cake, Finnish pulla bread, pumpkin swirl cheesecake, maple walnut cake, holiday leftovers strata, eggs Benedict, skillet baked bacon and beet hash. It’s a great companion to her charming and information-packed award-winning country lifestyle television show Welcome to My Farm, from her home that airs on American Public Television and CreateTV.

In chef and culinary historian George Geary’s follow-up to his bestseller, “LA’s Legendary Restaurants,” LA’s Landmark Restaurants delves even deeper into the rich culinary history of Los Angeles, showcasing the enduring landmarks that have shaped the city’s dining scene for generations. There are plenty of inside stories, recipes, and historic photographs of classic Hollywood haunts and hidden getaways including Cole’s, Pann’s, Pacific Dining Car, Barney’s Beanery, Tom Bergin’s, Nate ’n Al’s, The Smoke House and The Apple Pan.
