Developer 343 says that its efforts to enhance Halo Infinite’s graphics have “finally come together.”
In the newest Inside Infinite over on the Halo web site, graphics producer Alex Le Boulicaut mentioned that the assorted groups at 343 had been sprucing the title’s visuals since its gameplay reveal in July 2020. This demo didn’t impress followers, with 343 admitting later that it had “work to do” within the sport’s graphics.
“Following the Campaign demo last July, the team has been continuously iterating on outstanding graphics and lighting work to deliver a more immersive experience,” Le Boulicaut wrote.
“This additional level of polish required the coordination of multiple disciplines, such as: Graphics, Lighting, Environments, Characters, Sandbox, and more. This team effort is finally coming together, and we are very excited to share some of the results with our community today!
“In the same spirit, we’ve been regularly reviewing the Xbox versions of Halo Infinite with our multiple partner teams. And while the work-in-progress images we are presenting today are captured on a PC – which we’ll dive deeper on in a future blog post – we are committed to delivering a great experience and high level of visual fidelity across all platforms.”
Halo Infinite was set to launch in November 2020 alongside Microsoft’s new Xbox Series X and S consoles, however the sport was delayed till 2021. At the tip of final yr, the sport was given a fall 2021 launch date, with 343 promising to enhance its graphics.
